Criteria for our top four protein bars
Our top four protein bars have the best protein to sugar ratio, the best ingredients for us – so no allergens that we have to worry about, the best texture, and the best taste. We love each of these bars, or at least some of the flavors of each of these, and they are a go-to for us.
1. RXBAR® protein bars
This is an egg white and nut bar, sweetened with dates, that is a go-to snack. They have fruit flavors, peanut butter, maple, and a variety of chocolate flavors, so some for every taste. They even have smaller bars for kids! These bars are gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and non-gmo. See the review here.

2. Health Warrior protein bars
This is a pea protein and ancient grains bar. There are several flavors available in fruits and chocolate varieties. These bars are gluten free, vegan, and non-GMO. They are high in fiber and protein and fairly low in sugar.
Flavors: Dark choc coconut, Lemon goldenberry, Honey almond, Mint chocolate, Peanut butter cacao
3. Rise Bars
There are two types of protein bars from Rise – pea protein and whey protein. They are gluten-free, soy-free, peanut-free, and nonGMO.
Flavors: Pea protein: lemon cashew, chocolatey coconut, and sunflower cinnamon; Whey protein – almond honey, mint chip, chocolatey almond
4. Zing Bars
This is a nice, chewy protein bar with a few flavors. I’m only going to include the soft cookie flavors here. There are some other flavors that are chocolate covered or include whey protein. These bars are gluten free, contain no soy-protein, and contain no sugar alcohols, according to the label.
